《异人之下》 I Am Nobody (2023) is 27-episode Chinese drama series that aired on Youku. It was directed by 许宏宇 Derek Hui and is based on the manhua 《一人之下》Under One Person: The Outcast by 米二 Mi Er. For a synopsis of the original work, please follow this link.The titular 异人 yiren describes the group of super-powered humans in the series who are able to manipulate a special energy called 炁 Qi. In subsequent adaptations, "yiren" has often been translated as "Outcasts" or "Outsiders."NOTE: The 异 (yì) in the drama title and 一 (yī) in the manhua title are near homophones.A second season is currently being made, with most of the original cast returning.

Due to the mysterious disappearance of his grandfather's corpse, ordinary youth Zhang Chulan (played by Peng Yuchang) gets pulled into the never-before-seen "yiren" world. Facing unexpected pursuit by "Quanxing" and the sudden intrusion of an engimatic young woman named Feng Baobao (played by Wang Yinglu), Zhang Chulan resolves to no longer conceal his supernatural abilities. Following an investigation of his grandfather's history, Zhang Chulan gradually enters the pugilistic world of "yiren," and the mysteries of the past slowly begin to emerge. A shocking secret appears to exist behind it all, and it seems Feng Baobao's mysterious origins are the key to unlocking the puzzle. Faced with successive crises, the young "yiren" gather together and establish deep bonds of friendship and attachment.
